Going to Ágora Sotogrande: Dress Code, Age and Guest List Explained

Most questions about Ágora aren't about the music. They're about the door: what to wear, whether you'll get in at 18, how the free list works and whether it's worth buying a ticket in advance. Here are the answers, based on Ágora's event listing for Halloween 2026 (checked on 11 October 2026) and what the club and the local press published over the summer.

The short version

  • Dress code: 'Casual', according to the event listing.
  • Age: over-18s only. Bring photo ID.
  • Tickets: sold in releases that go up in price; each includes one drink before 1am.
  • Guest list: a free girls' list with conditions, and it fills up early.
  • Tables: Terrace tables from €200 for Halloween 2026.
  • Hours: listed from 00:00 until close.

Dress code: what 'Casual' means here

Ágora's event listing sets the dress code as 'Casual'. That's more relaxed than, say, the strict 'smart-chic' rule at Bonbonniere in Marbella, and nobody is asking for a jacket. But casual for a nightclub isn't the same as casual for the beach. Our advice, which is advice and not a published rule: come dressed for a night out, not straight from the sand. Swimwear and flip-flops are the obvious things to avoid. On themed nights, such as Halloween, dressing for the theme is part of the fun. As in any club, the door has the final word on entry.

Age and ID

Entry is for over-18s, according to the event listing. That's the legal minimum and it applies on every night, including the house nights the local paper described as aimed at over-30s; those are a target audience, not an entry rule. Bring photo ID that proves your age: a DNI or residence card if you live in Spain, a passport if you're visiting. A photo of your ID on your phone is a risk; bring the real thing.

How the ticket releases work

Ágora sells tickets in releases. When one sells out, the next one opens at a higher price. For Halloween 2026 the listing looked like this on 11 October:

ReleasePriceIncludesStatus (11 Oct 2026)
First€151 drink before 1amSold out
Second€201 drink before 1amLast tickets
Third€251 drink before 1amNext release

Two lessons. Buying early is cheaper. And the drink only counts if you're inside before 1am, so turning up at half past two means paying for something you won't use.

The free guest list

For Halloween 2026 Ágora ran a free list for girls, valid until 01:15. The condition: post the party's flyer on Instagram at least eight hours before the event, with a minimum of 400 views. It's a promotional list, so it has a cap, and by 11 October it was already marked as full. If you're counting on the list, sign up as soon as the event is published, and have a ticket as a backup. Lists can change from one event to another, so read the conditions on each listing.

Tables

Tables are sold on the same listing, with a map of the room. For Halloween 2026, the Terrace tables started at €200. The listing doesn't spell out what's included for that price, and it varies by night, so check the details on the event. For a group or a birthday, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you choose. For private hire of the venue, Ágora takes enquiries through the contact page on its website.

When to arrive

Ágora's events are listed from midnight. In summer 2026 the Whitetauro house night started at 00:30, and the closing party ran from 00:00 to 06:00. With the drink included only before 1am and the girls' list valid until 01:15, the sensible window to arrive is between midnight and one. After that you pay full price for the same night.

Getting there and back

Ágora is at the Centro Comercial Mar y Sol, Avenida Arenilla 2, 11310 Sotogrande, in the municipality of San Roque. Sotogrande is spread out and nights finish late, so the ride home is the part to plan. Book a taxi in advance on big nights or agree on a driver. Gibraltar is 25 km away, which is worth knowing if you're crossing back that night.

Groups and birthdays

If you're coming as a group, decide early between individual tickets and a table. Tickets are cheapest in the first release, so a group that buys together early pays less and everyone gets their drink before 1am. A table makes sense if you want a fixed spot for the night; for Halloween 2026 the Terrace tables started at €200. For a birthday, tell us the date and how many of you there are on WhatsApp and we'll help you work out which option fits.

Common mistakes

  • Turning up after 1am and losing the drink included in the ticket.
  • Counting on the free list without a backup ticket, then finding it full.
  • Leaving ID at the hotel. Without proof you're 18, you don't get in.
  • Coming straight from the beach. 'Casual' still means dressed to go out.
  • Not sorting the ride home. Taxis are scarce at closing time on big nights.

Outside summer

Ágora's regular nights run from mid-June to early September. The rest of the year it opens on special dates, and each one gets its own listing with its own prices, list and table conditions. The next is Halloween on Saturday 31 October 2026. We add each new date to the Ágora page as soon as it's published.
