SeasonalOpens in April (its own website); its usual season runs May to October. Check before going in late autumn.
Daybeds & tables via WhatsAppChambao is the beach bar on Torreguadiaro beach, right next to Sotogrande's port. During the day it's sunbeds, Balinese beds and a menu that mixes sardine espetos with sushi; from late afternoon the DJs take over, and at night there's live music. Sandbeds calls it the liveliest beach bar in the area and says the crowd mixes locals, holidaymakers and people over from La Línea and Gibraltar. Its website says it opens in April and serves non-stop from 12:30 to midnight.

Tables & bookings at Chambao Sotogrande
There's no nightclub-style VIP here: what you book is a table or a bed. Chambao takes bookings through its own online system and recommends booking for the evening; Sandbeds adds that it gets full on summer weekends. If you want us to handle it, message us on WhatsApp with the date and group size. For private evening events for companies or groups, Chambao arranges them on request.
How to Get to Chambao Sotogrande
Chambao is on Torreguadiaro beach (11312, San Roque), beside the port of Sotogrande. Torreguadiaro is a small beach village, so on summer evenings parking fills up; a taxi is the easier option if you're staying for drinks. Gibraltar is about 25 km away.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
Chambao doesn't publish a dress code. It's a beach bar, so beachwear is fine by day; for the evening, most people change into something a bit smarter.
Day: beds, espetos and sushi
The day at Chambao is about the beach. There are hammocks and Balinese beds with table service, and the kitchen runs non-stop from 12:30 to midnight. The menu pairs the local classic, sardine espetos and fish from the Strait, with sushi, salads and sharing plates; its website recommends the fresh sushi and the seafood espeto. Drinks lean on cocktails and premium gin and tonics, which, as Sandbeds puts it, carry real weight here at sunset. Lunch is relaxed, and Sandbeds notes the place gets livelier through the afternoon. If you want a bed in July or August, book it rather than turning up. Prices aren't on the website, so ask when you book if you want a figure for a bed or a minimum.
Sunset and night: DJs and live music
This is why Chambao appears in a nightlife guide. In the afternoon the DJs play what the venue calls elegant music to ease you into the evening, and at night there's live music and DJs. Sandbeds describes concerts and DJs in season and recommends checking the calendar before you go. It's not a nightclub: it's a beach bar that stays busy after dark, the natural first stop before heading to Ágora on a summer weekend. In July 2026 it was also one of the bars showing Spain's matches, which tells you it's where people gather. From Sotogrande it's a short hop to Torreguadiaro, and sunset is the moment to arrive, when the music starts to build and the beach empties out.
Booking and private events
Chambao takes bookings through its own online system and recommends reserving for the evening. Sandbeds says summer weekends fill up, so for a Saturday in August, book a few days ahead. The venue also organises private evening events for companies, clubs and groups, arranged on request through its contact page. If you'd rather message one place for everything, write to us on WhatsApp with the date and number of people. Prices aren't published; Sandbeds rates it mid-to-high (€€€) relative to other beach clubs in the area and says prices vary with the season and the zone. For a birthday or a group, tell us how many you are and whether you want a bed or a table, and we'll ask for you.
