Things to Do in Sotogrande at Night (That Aren't a Nightclub)

The best things to do in Sotogrande at night, if you're not after a nightclub, are mostly summer ones: a sunset session at a beach club, the marina night market on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in July and August, live flamenco and rumba at the SO/ hotel's IXO bar, free polo in August, outdoor cinema and a long dinner by the port. Out of season the list gets much shorter, and we're honest about that below.
Sunset at a beach club
The Beach at La Reserva Club runs Après Beach on summer Fridays: deep house with DJ Hondo, live music and cocktails as the sun goes down. In 2026 the dates were 12 and 26 June, 10 and 31 July, and 8 and 22 August. In July and August its sunbeds are available from 11:00 to 20:00, and if you arrive after 14:30 there's a minimum spend of €80 per person.
On Torreguadiaro beach, Chambao is open from 12:30 to midnight without a break, with DJs in the afternoon and live music from its DJs at night; it suggests booking for the evenings. Trocadero, on Paseo del Parque, also runs until midnight, Thursday to Monday, with DJ sessions.

In July and August, the marina hosts a night market on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from 19:00 to midnight, with crafts, fashion, accessories and local products. Sotogrande's own summer guide calls it the Levante night market and adds that it also runs on Sundays. One local listing in 2026 mentioned June instead of July, so check the dates for the week you're there.
Polo in August
The 55th International Polo Tournament, organised by Ayala Polo Club, is Sotogrande's big summer event. In 2026 it ran in three stages: the Bronze Cup from 27 July to 1 August, the Silver Cup from 3 to 15 August and the Gold Cup from 17 to 29 August. Admission to every match was free, there were three free concerts around the Los Pinos grounds, and the site had shops, a weekend market, food trucks and a bar. The old after-party, Afterpolo, closed after 2024.

In summer 2026 the IXO bar at SO/ Sotogrande had rumba on Fridays, flamenco on Saturdays and flamenco guitar on Sundays, and the hotel put on a Queen tribute (24 July), Andalusian Nights (7 August) and a Flamenco Night (21 August). In Torreguadiaro, Bahía Limón does flamenco on Thursdays and funk on Fridays in season. In August there's the Enclave de Sol festival at Trocadero. Our live music guide puts it all in one calendar.

If you're with family, summer 2026 had open-air cinema at The Alto Golf Academy on 16 and 29 July and 5 and 19 August, with family films such as WALL·E. Nearby, San Roque held a free cinema-under-the-stars night in Puente Mayorga on 13 July.
Dinner and drinks in the marina
Many people's Sotogrande night is simply a long dinner and drinks by the port, which fits the way Essential Magazine describes the place: not known for intense nightlife, plenty of relaxed bars. Ágora, in the Mar y Sol shopping centre, is Sotogrande's nightclub. In 2026 its season ran from 19 June to 4 September, and out of season it opens for special dates: Halloween is on 31 October.
